Vinyasa Yogashala - Best Yoga School in Rishikesh India

It was such a great experience. The certification is totally worth it. You have teachings not only to be a facilitator of yoga but also mantras, mudras, yoga philosophy , yoga anatomy, pranayama.. and during the course you also have the opportunity to experience a trauma healing session, sound healing, excursions etc. The installations are lovely with a pool you can enjoy Sundays. Food is vegetarian but also offer options for vegans and glutten free. It's an intense certification but totally worth it. The friendships you do in here are just wonderful! The teachers amazing and the stuff always willing to help. I would totally come back

I did the 200h ytt. Overall I had a really good experience. The food is good, teachers were amazing, rooms comfortable, staff were awesome (shoutout Binni ), I feel like I really learned a lot in an overall short amount of time. I have a few points of feedback tho. The biggest issue is the construction that was happening next to and in our building the entire 25days of our stay every single day. It was so loud that even with closed windows we could hear it every day all day, even during meditation. Sometimes it would get super loud. I want to say I understand it's a new building and they're still working on it but also you decided to open it already and have students when it's not finished? and I felt the construction really interfered with our learning sometimes. What really went too far was that in our last week (exam week) they started drilling huge holes into the wall right next to our rooms making it impossible to be here because it's so loud and there being dust just everywhere on the corridor. Another thing they could improve is there is essentially no social area to hang out. There's a bit of grass outside but no place to study/ read/ hang out at all. Lastly the yoga mats are stinky to the point where I decided to buy my own. Overall I still give 4 starts because of the knowledge I feel like I gained and how helpful everyone was trying to be and solve issues even when they came up.

Really wonderful and excellent school. Teaching methodology is fantastic when you are in Rishikesh you understand that this is actually the best school by far it's just a little things. The managers are all great. The teaching in the classes are all fantastic. The excursions are nice. They had an Independence Day - They got us all into a group with with the other buildings. We did like a dance. It was amazing on the last night, They had a big party that was amazing too. The teachers are all very highly qualified some come from tribes and they're the only ones they can speak English in their tribes and so you really get the authentic Yogi experience. The accommodation was fantastic. It was clean. The food was good as well. I personally chose this school because I looked at all the top schools in the area and this one had the most reviews and the best reviews and you can see why. all in all I highly highly recommend you choose this school when you're in Rishikesh you'll see that the other schools in the area don't even look nice - they're smaller and these guys are clearly the best in the area hands down. I even got speaking to 2 other people in the in the village and even one guy (he was from India)and he said yeah Vinyasa is the best. It is the most famous Indian yoga school in the country.

Highly recommended!I had been searching for a professional yoga teacher training school for a long time, and I'm so glad I found this one! The studies were in-depth and precise, and the teaching staff was extremely professional. I'm really happy I chose to study here. The location was great. The rooms were comfortable and had everything I needed, and the staff was kind, pleasant, and attentive to every need and request. I highly recommend this place -- I might even come back in the future for another course!

I even chatted with two other people in the village, including one local Indian man, and they agreed that Vinyasa is the best. He said it's actually the most famous yoga school in the whole country.

I did my 200 hour YTT at Vinyasa Yogashala. It was a wonderful programme. It was well planned and spaced out. All the teachers were dedicated and really knew about and were passionate about their subject. I left Rishikesh confident that I am equipped to use the training not only in my personal life but to support others in their lives too. The food was really good and the school itself was spacious and comfortable. It really was like a home away from home and nothing was too much trouble for Ravi, the manager and the other staff. I have no hesitation in recommending Vinyasa Yogashala if you are looking for an authentic Indian yoga experience.

As someone who is indecisive, 18 year old with so many questions and ideas this place was magic 5/5 to everything ...the staff who were like family treated you as a family, the food made by the great chefs who were so kind and loving, the shala itself( despite being in the new shala - im so grateful that we were, the people who became my family that I still keep contact with, even when there was problems we got it sort it with Ravi ji ) The teachers so so knowledgeable, friendly, supportive that honestly I became attached . The alignment and adjustment was super helpful to learn about the right alignment for Diffrent bodies - although we didn't cover all asanas it was still super helpful. The philosophy teacher -absolutely an incredible inspiring teacher the knowledge he has is vast , you could ask him anything he would happily with so much passion respond. Ashtanga was incredible-shocking as someone who haven't done the full primary series- again the teacher was great, the adjustment he did as a teacher was . Of course Vikas the vinyasa teacher was incredible with his teaching and his humour. Sandeep his patience as a meditation teacher he was also so inspiring.. Thank you for providing us with amazing itineraries for us- ganga rafting, yoga beach and more . I'd say the only thing that was a down was sometimes the breakfast and some meal were all carbs ( three different Carbs) which I'm grateful for but it was a bit much . But the desserts wow -still dreaming. Overall the 24days at Yogashala was a time of personal development, life changing in my choices of lifestyle Thank you
