Offering much more than a mere qualified yoga teaching training course, Nada Yoga School is a boutique yoga center that intertwines expert classical hatha yoga teaching with the ancient musical Nada Yoga knowledge.
Under the tutelage of master teachers with their decades' experience, the various 200-hour teaching programmes weave an intensive study of yoga asanas, pranayama, philosophy, chakra systems, human anatomy, ayurvedic medicine, meditation technique, purification practice, music mantra, and kirtan study.
Nada Yoga School is the first of its kind in India to combine the ancient studies of musical vibration -- where the sound is used for inner transformation -- with a classical hatha yoga practice....

I came to the Nada Yoga TTC in August and left after 2 days. I found the environment totally unsuitable for any type of yoga, especially one involving sound. The school is situated right by the busy intersection of Ram Jhula bridge, and the noise levels were quite insane--especially the automated public safety announcements broadcast all summer, from early morning till night by the adjacent police station (I was there in August 2025). These announcements were clearly audible from the nada yoga hall and dining area and made it difficult to focus or even hear the teacher (Bhuwan), who speaks quite softly. The bedrooms face the riverside path, so the ambient noise continues roughly 24/7.
While the staff were kind and the food consistently good, I was disappointed with the vagueness of the philosophy teaching. Concepts that could have been delivered concisely were stretched unnecessarily, and when I asked for clarification, I didn't receive direct answers. I later had to seek out basic explanations online.
Another key issue that wasn't communicated in advance: the school runs both Hatha Yoga and Nada Yoga TTCs simultaneously, and many classes--asana, pranayama, Ayurveda, kirtan, and sound meditation--are combined. This means you have many different levels which imo dilutes the focus. E.g. morning asana and pranayama sessions were structured for beginners in the Hatha TTC, and felt overly instructional for me, having already completed an yoga asana TTC some time ago. Additionally, some Hatha students didn't understand sufficient English, so one student translated everything into Spanish, with the teacher pausing throughout. This further disrupted the class.
The Hatha students seemed satisfied overall, and their classes were held in the quieter Green Hall. My experience applies specifically to the Nada Yoga TTC held at the main (and noisier) riverside location. The school did kindly offer me a quieter room after I expressed my concerns, but the overall setup--ambient noise, teaching style, combined classes--was not what I expected or needed. I chose to leave the course after merely 2 days (and continued my Nada Yoga studies elsewhere). Bear that in mind when reading this review as this is a 27-day TTC. Make sure you read other reviews too.

I loved my experience with the Nada yoga TTC. I went to learn how to facilitate kirtans, but got so much more out of the program. I was immersed in the mystical world of Indian classical music, which heavily challenged my innate believe system. It shoke my core in the best possible way and showed me a new world of sounds and vibrations.
The profound power of sanskrit and the vedic mantras were another thing I loved. 1 month is hardly enough to learn about nada yoga, but it's a great base and I am so looking forward to keep exploring, reading and practicing!
Asana and pranayam classes were also something I was looking forward to. So well explained and with great presence from our knowledgable teachers. I am very thankful to all of you - Mohan ji, Yogi Mohan ji, Buwan ji, Shivananda ji, and of course our great cook! The food was incredibly delicious.
In terms of accomodation it wasn't really up to my standarts, but I guess it's good enough.
The whole program makes up for it anyway.
Again, a big thank you, for the amazing month I spent with you!
Being a practicing yoga techer, this was my 3rd yoga course and I highly recommend the school!
I went there a listener and left a nada yogi (at least a beginner one).

I came to Nada Yoga School to do the 200 hour Hatha Yoga teacher training and I had the most amazing time there!
The teachers have plenty of knowledge, wisdom and experience!
They are teaching with so much love, patience and manage to create a safe space to learn, to grow and to develop.
It's such a welcoming atmosphere... I am more than happy to have been on this life changing experience, this place feels almost like a home now.
Also the food was excellent! Nice trips on the weekends and so on....highly recommended!!

Can't recommend this place unfortunately. Maybe they're struggling post-covid, but the standards just aren't up to scratch for the price of the course. The lessons were mainly given by one teacher, which was monotonous to listen to all day. The accommodation is awful. The communication isn't great either. When I said I was leaving, no-one engaged with me to discuss, they didn't even answer my text!
On the plus side, if you don't mind the sound of all of the above, you will probably learn how to play basic harmonium, but you can do that anywhere with a private teacher!
