My favorite boxing place in Wellington! The coaches and training partners are the best--supportive, skilled, and encouraging. The gym has a really peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, which makes training enjoyable. I love that it's open 24/7 and offers multiple class times to suit any schedule. You'll also find many advanced boxers here, which makes the training really inspiring.

Training here saved my life when I was assaulted by an armed mob. I was in shock but the muscle memory caused me to dodge the rod being swung at my head and I kept moving until my brain finally registered what was happening. The violence was completely out of the blue. It has been many years since I trained at MTI and several years since it happened. I still think about it often and wanted to at least try to put this into words. Nothing anybody tells you can prepare you for how sudden violence is, your body needs to learn how to react because your brain will freeze.

i started doing the 20wk ALTA course and now il be signing up to the gym once i finish in 9wks. everyones welcoming, dont regret it one bit

My only regret with MTI is having left to immigrate overseas - If I could take the gym with me best believe I would in heartbeat. MTI is a world class facility with world class coaching and a wonderful community of people to go along with it. Mark, the coaching team, the members, & the fighters have cultivated a beautiful culture amongst all gym members to feel welcomed & encouraged at whatever level of training you're at. I could never thank all the people I was lucky enough to work with MTI for helping me grow through Muay Thai. Special thanks to all the coaching team especially Mark for all the time and effort he dedicates to not only MTI but everyone as individuals. Wellington is beyond lucky to have access to a place like MTI. Miss it already, all the best!

Cannot recommend this gym highly enough ! A great bunch of people and awesome coaches with a wealth of knowledge and passion for the sport. This place is guaranteed to improve your fitness 10-fold as well as make you love Muay Thai ! Will miss this place and these awesome people.

I have been training at MTI for 4 months now as a brand newbie to Muay Thai and I have absolutely LOVED it. The facilities are amazing, the community is supportive and encouraging, but more than anything the trainers are incredible. Mark and his team are knowledgeable, approachable, and supportive of your goals, no matter what they are. They have classes for everyone, no matter how experienced or inexperienced you might be. I can't recommend MTI enough and I will miss it massively now that I'm moving cities. Thanks Mark & team!

Fantastic Gym !! Everyone was really welcoming ,its a bonus that they have an amazing weights gym up stairs for all your strength and conditioning needs. Trainers are top quality with a lot of knowledge and experience. Coming from another gym to train over at MTI for the week was a really great experience Highly recommended for beginners to Advanced fighters 10/10
