After surviving a stroke five years ago, my road to recovery has been anything but straightforward. I have walked through countless therapies--literally--clocking in 20,000 steps a day during my better years. But life threw me a curveball in the form of three falls. The last one was the toughest. Since then, walking alone became a distant memory. Confidence was lost. Independence was put on pause. Over the past years, I have worked with many therapists and physical trainers. They each played a role in my journey, but somewhere along the way, I seemed to have hit a plateau. I needed someone who could help bring me to the next level. That was when I met Jack from Urban Active Fitness. We have only just begun--two sessions a week for a month--but already, I am starting to feel a shift. My doctor noticed it too. His exact words were, "You look different--healthier, stronger. What have you been doing?" I showed him photos and videos from my sessions with Jack. His response: "You must continue." Jack did not just show up with a routine. He came in with intention. He took the time to understand my history, my condition, and most importantly, my goals. He did not promise miracles--he promised to walk this journey with me. Every session is a careful balance of push and pull, as he always says. He challenges me, but never carelessly. He motivates, but also listens. He is tuned in to my limitations, but never lets them define me. Jack is like a gentle giant--strong, calm, and comforting. I feel safe working out with him. There is something very reassuring about his presence--he makes the difficult feel doable, and the fearful feel familiar. Jack is patient, safety-conscious, and motivating--but more than that, he brings something harder to teach: heart. This is not just rehabilitation. This is me, slowly reclaiming my body, my stride, and my independence--with Jack walking right beside me.

I engaged with Yas with June 2026. She was extremely easy to talk to, supportive, and is open to any feedbacks to suggestions. I really enjoyed training with her because time always seems to fly whenever I am attending lessons with her. Aside from her wonderful personality, her professionalism could not be understated! From curating structured lessons to keep check on my diet, Yas really puts the client's need at heart and ensure our needs and goals are met. Thank you so much Yas! Claire has been my trainer for quite a while now, and it's been great. She pushes me in all the right ways -- strict enough to get me out of my comfort zone but never in a way that feels bad. She's super attentive to my form (I didn't even realise I've been using the wrong form for years omg), which gives me confidence that I'm making real progress. Every workout feels tough (thanks, Bulgarian squats!) but fun thanks to her encouragement, keen eye on form, and relentless (but safe) pushing. For once i don't actually dread going to the gym lol

Our whole family, two adults and one adolescent, has been exercising under Yasirah's guidance weekly for around a year. She is very professional, taking a holistic approach to tailor the training sessions according to our long-term goals, and fine tuning the plans based on our progress over the course of time. She is also very motivating and thoughtful. She always takes into account when we feel physically weaker, or when we are still somewhat recovering from injuries, and will suggest alternate exercises for us to complete that still give us a workout. We are lucky to have such an encouraging and inspiring trainer who brings her unique energy to every session. Enjoyed every time!

I started PT sessions with Rina in June this year as a group of three. Since I was a complete noob to PT, I don't really know what to expect. Rina patiently took time to understand what we needed and crafted a plan for us to work towards our goals. She takes initiative to check in often with us and answers all our queries (both related and unrelated ). Sessions with her are always fun but work still gets done. She will try her best to push us further at a comfortable pace even when we don't believe that we are able to do it. I can definitely feel myself getting stronger these past few months from the sessions with her and by following her plan/advice (as much as possible though ). Thank you Rina!
