Isha Yoga Center, Guduvancheri

It's a consecrate and very energetic place. If you are in Guruvanchery you must visit there to meditate

Our trip to Isha Ashram was something I was really looking forward to. I did quite a lot of research before visiting. As we entered the main gate I was disappointed to see the lack of greenery or tress around the Adiyogi statue. It was dry and dusty all around us. Lots of work was going on to set up stages etc in preparation for Shivaratri celebrations. Even though it has a lovely ambience, it seemed to lack the energy and vibrations of a temple. We visited many temples while in South India and Varanasi. For us the Isha ashram seemed to lack the same level of energy. It is a great place to visit - but once only! The light show on Adiyogi was spectacular and entertaining. The Pateeshwarar Temple nearby is definitely worth a visit. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and apparently 2000 years old!
