The Shillong Sports Association football stadium is equipped with a standard football ground with natural turf. Dressing rooms for the playing teams and officials are aptly equipped and are well maintained. It boast of 2 covered galleries apart from its open stands. An official meet up place has also found a space in the complex. Though about a half of the seating gallery is still under progress, one thing is certain though. It has evolved.
It is a part of 7 furlong stretch long field Youngsters play and practice different sports activities. It was created by British in early 1890s and primarily played Polo game. I am lucky to play football, cricket here as a child school boy.
