Jaganath Gym

Best gym of chagancherry I had no idea these guys were here, I just happened to be staying down the beach and stumbled across them at the Extreme Hotel where I was having lunch. I signed up for a 1 week fitness program on the spot and wow wow did it ever deliver. Warning - these guys are INTENSE. They had me doing 4 workouts a day which I honestly did not think was possible. Even at peak shape in High School I was only doing 2 workouts a day. The personal training and fitness classes are very tough - they'll tone it down to whatever you're capable of but just barely. Expect to be pushed to your limits. The Yoga is a little less crazy, but the overall intensity is very high (in a good way.) My program also covered breakfast and lunch at the hotel and shakes blended up by one of the instructors. The overall effect was exactly what I wanted - I arrived feeling bloated, depressed and lethargic. A week later I felt energized, had dropped some real weight, and was ready to take on the world. Also worth emphasizing is how genuinely friendly and talented the staff were. They make a point of saying hello at the restaurant, checking in with you and really seem to care that you get a lot out of the program. I also felt that they really lived what they were teaching - watching the workouts they do for themselves is both inspiring and horrifying. They also try to give you habits that you can carry forward. I did 7am personal training because that's what I do at home. Their diet advice was solid and not fad heavy. Low carbs, no refined sugar, lots of water. Overall great stuff. I'd definitely go back.
