4.5/5 stars from me! I love training at Bali MMA every time I'm in Bali. The vibe is hardcore, which pushes you to perform at your best, but everyone I've spoken with is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I also love that the gym draws people from all over the globe -- it's an amazing way to test your skills against a wide variety of styles and experience levels. The coaches are super helpful and make it a point to welcome newcomers, which really helps if it's your first visit. A few areas that could be improved: - At first glance on initial arrival, the hardcore vibe might be intimidating for newer athletes. That said, everyone I've met has been approachable and supportive. - Prices are a little steep compared to the local Bali standard, more in line with casual fees at an Australian martial arts gym (day pass for $30 AUD). It would be great to see some more flexible casual entry options like multi-class packages (e.g., 2, 3, 5, or 10 classes) that don't expire, in addition to the 3-consecutive day pass. Personally, I think the 3-day consecutive pass could be adjusted to allow 3 days within a 7-day window, which would better suit travellers and their other holiday plans. For example, this time around I had a 5-day stay in the area, arriving Thursday evening, which spanned across Sunday when there are less classes, so the 3-day pass wasn't ideal for me this time. I've only done the BJJ classes here so far due to limitied time, but I'm pumped to get in on the striking classes next time I'm in town. Overall, Bali MMA is a top-notch training facility that's challenging, welcoming, and full of talented people from around the world. Highly recommend if you're serious about your training while visiting Bali.

Had a great first experience at Bali MMA after flying from the UK to train no-gi jiu-jitsu. Scott was great coach, came round to every pair that was drilling and was attentive to each and every person within the class. Could potentially be slightly more welcoming to people stepping foot in Bali MMA for the first time as it is quite a large and busy gym (but that may be difficult to the large number of students and knowing who is new and who isn't). Overall I was very happy with my training and it was a VERY high level which is great for someone wanting to test themselves. So much so I will be attending again this weekend.

I've just completed two months of training at this exceptional gym, and it has been an incredible experience. From the top-notch facilities to the dedicated and hands-on Muay Thai coaches, I knew I had made the right decision from the start. Special thanks to Kru Bui for her guidance and support throughout my training, and to Inna from the mobility class, whose sessions greatly improved my flexibility. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to elevate their Muay Thai skills.

Great facility with plenty of classes to explore and learn MMA. I especially love the padwork sessions with Brenda. She really pays attention to technique, not just shouting for power. She shares valuable knowledge you can take home and apply, and it's always motivating to hear her feedback and see improvements every session. Highly recommend to approach Brenda during boxing and Muay Thai pad classes, she's amazing to learn from! Lastly I didn't expect to fall in love with no-gi grappling, even though it's tough (we definitely need more girls in grappling!)

I've been a member for months. Unfortunately, there are some individuals -- both instructor and regular members -- in the "striking class" who are not welcoming. A female assistant in the class with red hair told me I wasn't improving and made dismissive comments, calling me "dumb" and implying that being a woman means I'm not good enough. Some regular members try to act overly tough, get visibly annoyed when I forget a drill, and hit too hard during light practice -- even though it's supposed to be just drilling. The female instructors often say things like, "I just taught you that, why can't you do it? It's easy," or "You can't even do that?" -- which is extremely discouraging. Just because someone is a senior athlete doesn't mean they know how to teach or support beginners. I pay the same membership fee as everyone else and deserve to be treated with respect. I'm here to learn and improve, not to be made to feel stupid. Even if I'm not the best or fastest learner, the purpose of joining a class is to grow -- not to already be perfect. And it's part of the instructors' responsibility to help make students better than when they started. While not everyone behaves this way, sadly, this kind of attitude is far too common to ignore

I've had such a great experiences training at Bali MMA. I could only stay there for a week but I used it to the maximum extent joining multiple classes and learning from different coaches. The staff are absolutely lovely, trainers are professional, experienced, with world class fighting experience and they provide friendly and supportive environment. From beginner level to pro fighters - everyone can feel welcomed and gain confidence and experience in training. The facility is regularly cleaned, well maintained, well located also equipped in changing rooms, showers, sauna and cold plunge all open to use for all members. If you're in Bali and looking for a quality martial arts gym - that's where you want to be. Couldn't recommend it more

Endra is the BEST boxing coach. I did 1:1 lessons every morning while in canggu and he taught me so much. I have been boxing for 2 years and I was doing it incorrectly. He showed me the correct way and was so fun to box with. I recommend using him for your coach! 10/10 Thank you Endra!
