We returned to ITC Fortune Puri to celebrate our daughters' birthdays, and once again, the team went above and beyond! From the moment we arrived, we felt recognised, remembered, and genuinely cared for. Kuldip was an absolute rockstar -- he managed everything from the reservation to checkout seamlessly. His kindness truly made me a very happy mom. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities we needed. He even upgraded us to a perfect sea-facing room with a balcony, which made our stay extra special. A special mention to Smruti and Souma from the reception for their warm assistance with transportation and check-in services. The hotel's location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around. Overall, it was a wonderful experience -- I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again!

I absolutely loved the property! The entire team was very warm and welcoming -- right from the receptionist to the chef, kitchen staff, and even the security personnel. Their hospitality made us feel truly at home. The hotel also organizes a Sagar Aarti and a beautiful cultural dance performance, which my family thoroughly enjoyed. It was a wonderful way to experience the rich culture of Odisha during our stay. Everything about the property was excellent -- the only small drawback was that the bathrooms felt a bit compact. A special thanks to Prassana ji, Siba, Rahul, and many other staff members who went above and beyond to make our stay so comfortable and memorable. I will definitely choose this property again the next time I visit Puri.

I stayed at the Fortune puri as part of my piligrm tour to Puri Jagannath temple. The stay was great with excellent views, suberbly decorated room with touch of simplicity and yet elegant. The service, breakfast and other amenities were top notch too. Special thanks to Harsh, who was brilliant at the front desk and ensures we were had a very comfortable stay. He and his team went above and beyond his limits to make out trip very memorable. Surely it's going to be Fortune, each time we are in Puri from here on. Fortune ITC Hotels, Puri - Fortune didn't quite favour us this time. Check-in was smooth -- and that's probably where the good part ended. We were given a room right next to the lift (because who doesn't love some background elevator music all day, right?). After requesting a change, we finally got another room... only to find dusty corners and chairs with mysterious stains that told their own stories. Post our Darshan, we thought of relaxing and ordering in -- the famous "hospitality" moment. We were just 5 minutes late for the meal service, hoping for a little flexibility, but the staff clearly believe in strict schedules over guest comfort. The mutton biryani we were looking forward to? Denied. Overall, not quite the "Fortune" experience one expects from an ITC brand. Smooth start, rocky everything else.

ITC Fortune Beachfront Puri - Beautiful Location & View, But Dining Needs Major Improvement We recently stayed at ITC Fortune Beachfront, Puri, and while the location and view were outstanding, there were several service-related issues that held back the overall experience. Sea-Facing Rooms & Perfect Location The sea view from the room and balcony was simply amazing. Waking up to the sound of waves and a panoramic ocean view was truly refreshing. The hotel is perfectly located, right on the beachfront and very close to the Jagannath Temple and other attractions. Property Layout - Not Guest Friendly One major design issue: the property is split across two buildings, separated by a public road. One has the reception and restaurant, the other has the swimming pool. Crossing a public road every time you want to access these facilities is very uncomfortable, especially during heat or rain. For a premium hotel, this setup is disappointing. Staff & Hospitality Staff overall was friendly and courteous. A special mention to the gentleman at the reception (name forgotten), who was polite and efficient. He made our check-in and stay smooth. Restaurant Experience - Extremely Disappointing * Service is extremely slow. Even a simple item like chapati took 20-30 minutes. * You have to order everything at once, or be prepared to wait long for every additional request. * Staff is clearly undertrained and leaderless -- even senior team members looked confused. * You'll have to repeat every request 3-4 times, be it for a spoon, lemon slice, glass, or water. * Lunch took nearly 2 hours both times. Only saved time once by ordering everything in one go. * What's worse -- this happened even when we were the only family in the restaurant. * Buffet breakfast had most items empty, and refills came only after repeated follow-ups. Room Service Ordered a burger at 11:30 AM - it took 30-40 minutes and came without fries. This level of delay for a single item is unacceptable. High Tea Timing & Evening Program One odd thing -- high tea starts very late, around 6:15 PM, which felt a bit off for guests returning early from sightseeing. On a positive note, the evening cultural program was a lovely touch. It featured traditional dance performances by talented artists and local kids. A beautiful, soulful experience that added a special charm to the stay. Lack of Supervision in the Kitchen We noticed the head chef was always walking around the dining area talking to guests, but never once stepped in to help the struggling team in the kitchen, despite clear signs of staff shortage and delay. Pros: * Beautiful sea-facing rooms and balconies * Perfect location right on the beach * Friendly and polite reception staff * Nice evening cultural program Cons: * Restaurant service is slow and poorly managed * Poor room service response time * Property split by a public road, causing inconvenience * Inconsistent buffet and high tea experience * Leadership missing in the F&B team Final Verdict: Rating: 3.5/5 Come here for the sea view, beachfront location, and peaceful atmosphere - but be ready for frustrating dining experiences and operational gaps.
