Noune Resort, Dimapur, 22-24 Aug, 2025 We were repeated guest at Noune. We loved this place during our last visit couple of years back and so decided to revisit. Also it is just 1.5 hr drive from Diphu, where we live. The stay was OK but not great as it should have been on this occasion. It could have been better in many ways with better communication and services. We booked a junior suit to accommodate four of us, me, my wife and ourctwo daughters. Here are few areas the resort can improve... 1. The stair and the landing of the j. suite (206) was being repaired and this information was missing while booking. The noise and dirt from the marble polishing on stair was all the way went into our room. 2. We went for a relaxing trip with kids. The Internet was down and kids were required constant engagement. Internet came back when we were about to check out. 3. Even the kids to play area was under renovation. We had to abandon the idea to engage then in the play area. 4. The breakfast was good and they provided everything we asked for. 5. We used the pool max to keep busy in absence of internet and other activities for the children. Good. Children and my wife learned swiming! 6. They served me a half cup of masala tea instead of a full cup, which was not expected. I brought this to the notice of the food desk. Young lady was surprised. They owe me a full cup of Masada tea! 7. It was our marriage anniversary and requested if we can cut the cake in the restaurant that we had with. They said ok and we sent the cake to make it ready on a dish. Ten min later it came in pieces! OK! We believed we could not communicate well. Instead of cutting the cake we all ate it and also gave it to the service team. 8. We asked for an extra bed. They gave a flat mattress on floor in a J. Suit. I expected a small folding bed like many good hotel/resort provide. 9. The mattress came wet on first occasion and had to turn it back although housekeeping thought that we can use the other side. Alas! 10. The minibars was reported to be used with three bars and chips. Wedid not use it and verified with our truthful and honest kids. Seems, housekeeping keep less number of items in minibar to charge money from guest. Whrn reported, they wanted to return, but could not as payment was done by card. Not acceptable! Overall, we would expect better service for the money we paid. May be we will think before we book again in Noune. We may go back as there are less options, but they really need to improve. The management need to prioritize softskill training for the staff to improve guest's experiences!
