VASA Fitness

Love the Studio red classes at the Chandler Vasa fitness. I go 2 to 3 times a week and have only good things to say about the class and various instructors there. I frequent the 8am class since it gets my day going but also because I love Liz who teaches it, such great energy! Rita, Amanda, Wendy, Connor, Theresa, Christina... All are good and have different energies with their own spades of music. They all were so helpful amending my routine so I could continue the class while pregnant too. Definitely give it a try if you are looking for a new HIT routine! Added bonus, amazing ladies at their kidcare center!

The gym itself and the employees are great. However, I had a horrific time trying to cancel my membership after I moved. I canceled my membership via chat support at the end of June. I was charged one more time, in July, because of the 30 day notice required to cancel. That makes sense to me. However, I continued to get charged through August. I disputed the charges on my card and called customer support. Heather, the customer support person I spoke with on the phone, told me she had no record of my cancellation or conversation, my membership was NOT cancelled, and that I would need to pay a fee because I disputed the charge on my card, as well as another month of membership dues. I told her when I signed into my account, I would see a message that says "REACTIVATE!", so how is that possible that my account is active and also able to be reactivated? She charged my husband and I $55, 2 months AFTER I canceled. I pulled up chat support again to get more information. They told me we each had 2 accounts on our individual emails. There would be NO WAY for me to know that, as it was apparently 2 accounts with the same email address, same first and last name, and same contact info, especially when I log in and have no way of cancelling this supposed second account. However, Shaylee was incredible in helping me get to a real solution.

Beware their "rate guarantee fee" which is an annual $60 charge that you will be faced with regardless of plan. Also know that they will will continue to charge you this fee and as well as your membership fee for up to 30 days after canceling. Truly scummy practices, I regret signing up.

Love VASA! Friendliest and cleanest gym I've ever been to. My children also love the childcare and I'm confident in leaving them while I have some me time. I'm so glad I found my neighborhood gym!

I initially liked this gym, but my opinion has been changing as of late. They seem to be having issues with repairs / maintenance. Only two of the four hydromassage beds are working and have been inoperative for weeks, lots of people leaving disappointed wanting to relax after a good workout ... and the men's locker room is an absolute sauna bath, the A/C has been nonfunctional for weeks and weeks and they can't seem to get it repaired. No sense in showering because you'll be sweating through your clothes before you leave. These issues have been reported time after time, no one seems too concerned about it. Looking for another location .... staff is friendly enough but they just don't seem to know what's going on.
