Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy Stadium

It's a very good place for jogging running and even for spending evenings. One full round equal to 500 metres here. Some basic outdoor zym equipments are there. For kids skating facility is there.

Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy Stadium or as District College Stadiumis a cricket ground in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India. Having originally been called the District College Stadium, it was later named after Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, the sixth President of India. Ground information ; Location : Anantapur, India Establishment : 1964 (first recorded match) Capacity : 10,000 The ground first held a first-class match in 1964 when Andhra Pradesh played Madras in the 1963/64 Ranji Trophy. The following first-class match held there in the same year saw the Rest of India play Bombay in the 1986/87 Ranji Trophy. From 1964 to 1986, the ground held four further first-class matches, the last of which saw Andhra Pradesh play Hyderabad.

After a long time (2016) today I am here at Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy stadium for my morning workouts(Jogging , walking, Exercises & Meditation). I had a great experience with this stadium in my teenage. When I was studying Intermediate (1993-95) I represented for Kadapa district and played here under 19 cricket tournament. We lost our first league match against Hyderabad. I was selected for left hand medium pace bowler. But due to politics in our team our team manager & captain didn't gave me bowling. That time onwards I quit professional cricket because of typical Indian psychology.

This Stadium, popularly known as PTC, has a big ground for sports and jogging tracks, and can participate in volleyball, basketball, cricket training, yoga and other physical exercise related activities. There's a nominal monthly fee for entering into the PTC and this is good initiative to avoid timepassers.
